A Week in Portugal: Family, Adventures, and Reflections

Just back from a whirlwind week in Portugal! Although time with family and friends was limited (left Bangkok Wednesday late at night and returned Wednesday afternoon), I managed some cherished moments with Matilde. We conquered the latest Star Wars (new to her!), relived Jurassic Park World (loved it!), and captured memories in my grandfather's village. Monopoly nights added a dash of friendly competition.

Plane journeys became a haven for catching up. I finished reading "Four Thousand Weeks" and watched the last season of "Eric", (a tad disappointed, I admit). But the real gems were documentaries: "The Call of the Wild" about the life and death of Christopher McCandless and "Gregory Crewdson: Brief Encounters" (stunning photography, stay tuned for a blog post!).

The week was short yet impactful – reunions, new experiences, and personal insights. While I yearned for more time with everyone, the memories with Matilde and my own discoveries will keep me smiling.

I'm going to write a detailed post about the documentaries "Gregory Crewdson: Brief Encounters" and who Gregory Crewdson is and I plan to post some photos from my grandfather's village and Matilde
